STUDENT RECOGNITION

The West Baton Rouge Parish School Board wishes to give proper recognition to students or schools that distinguish themselves by outstanding achievements.  Therefore, students or schools of West Baton Rouge Parish shall be formally recognized by the Board at a regular meeting for achievements receiving statewide acclaim.  First or second in state in literary, talent or athletic contests will be the criteria for such recognition.  Principals shall be responsible for notification of the Board on the occasion of such acclaim.  Principals shall also be encouraged to seek public recognition through news media sources for all student and school accomplishments on an ongoing basis.
